TIPS TO SAVE FAT / OIL
Instead of deep-frying the savoy cabbage chips in oil, they are crisply baked in the oven with a little healthy olive oil.
To make sure that the olive oil can be spread evenly over the savoy cabbage pieces or other food and that everything is covered with a thin layer of it – without the food swimming in oil and thus without additional unnecessary calories and fat, I always use an oil spray in my kitchen: it distributes the oil evenly in small doses perfectly on the food / or even on the pan where you want to fry something!

Healthy savoy cabbage chips
Equipment
- Oil spray
Ingredients
- 1 savoy cabbage
- olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme or other dried herbs
- some chili powder
- some garlic powder
- optionally lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 100 degrees Celsius or 210 Fahrenheit.
- Separate the individual leaves of savoy cabbage, wash them and tear them into small, bite-sized pieces. Place the pieces on a baking tray, spray them with a little olive oil with the oil spray, add all the spices and mix everything together with your hands.
- Let the savoy cabbage chips dry in the oven for about 45 minutes until they are slightly browned and nice and hard.
- Remove from the oven, if desired sprinkle with some lime juice and enjoy with a delicious dip.
